HISTORY
Villa Feriani was built in the second half of the seventeenth century on an existing gothic fifteenth century construction. The loggia has two brickwork arches which remain from the original building.
The villa’s façade, which faces south east and looks out over the garden, is divided into three sections. The central, prominent part of the façade is rusticated at ground floor level and has three round arches. The first floor has ionic semicolumns, resting on pedestals crowned with stone urns that support the prominent segments of the entablature.
The loggia, joined to the right hand side of the villa, is preceded by a porch with big arches. The family chapel is separate from this main building and is octagonal shaped.
The main altar is significant :it has sculptures by Pietro Cavaliere and a small altar on the left side, with a painting of Virgin Mary attributed to the Marinali School which consecrated in 1711. This elegant chapel dates to the seventeenth century and is one of the few examples of Vicenza baroque.
